Khalsa School at Gurudwara Sikh Center is committed to providing education in Gurmukhi, Gurbani Gyaan and Sikh history. Keertan, Tabla and turban tying classes are also offered. With the support of a dedicated volunteer staff this School aims to offer the highest quality Gurmukhi and religious education. The volunteers come from different educational backgrounds. The volunteers apply their diverse skills, utilizing their innovation and creativity to create a stimulating environment for students.
Gurmukhi will be taught in seven (7) levels starting with “Gurmukhi alphabet” in the level “K”. Students are taught to understand spoken Punjabi, read and write Gurmukhi/Punjabi comfortably. Speaking Punjabi is encouraged at home to get students fluent in speaking.
Emphasis is given to teach students Sikh history, Gurbani and Sikh life style.
